Dr. Julian Oberndörfer


Executive Director of ERA Europe

Dr. Julian Oberndörfer was appointed Executive Director of ERA Europe in 2013 and runs his own law firm near Munich.

Previously, Julian worked for the German live shopping channel Home Shopping Europe (HSE24) where he held several management positions including Head of Country Management for Austria and Switzerland and VP Media Law, Media Politics and Distribution (MMD). He also worked as a lawyer and for the Deutsche Bank. Additionally, he has held several leading positions in associations and is author of media law literature.

Maja Umek


International Sales Director at Studio Moderna

Maja Umek is Slovenian and joined Studio Moderna straight from university in 1996 with a BA in Marketing. She worked her way up, gaining experience in the call center, as Product Manager, Director of the International team, Head Buyer and has recently changed position to lead Studio Moderna’s International Sales of their proprietary brands and products.

Maja has excellent industry knowledge and her expertise in working in multicultural environments is allowing her to successfully manage projects and business relationships throughout the world. Maja is serving her second term on the ERA Europe Board of Directors where she is Chairman of the Conference & Membership Committee.

Sylvie Mouradian


Head of Product Marketing, Téléshopping, TF1

Sylvie started her career in the DRTV business in 1992, introducing Ktel Inc in France as the Managing Director of the French subsidiary. In 1997, she joined the founders of the home shopping industry in France, and held various positions, including retail developer, senior buyer and merchandiser. At the 24 hours Belgian network (partnership with HSE24), she was responsible for Jewellery & Collectibles /Event Planning. In 2005, she joined the HSS team, contributing to the launch of their 24 hours home shopping channel and in 2014 she joined Téléshopping, which is where she works today.

Ken Daly


Ken Daly is CEO of JML, the innovative consumer product group with global sales through retail distribution, ecommerce and TV home shopping.

Ken joined an embryonic JML in 1994, initially in a sales role, following a background in electronic engineering. Ken then held a variety of positions helping to lead the company’s expansion, becoming CEO in 2012. JML now employs nearly 250 people in the UK & Ireland and has distribution partners in over 70 international markets.

Stephen McCreath


Stephen McCreath, Commercial Director for Consumer Sales, JML Direct

Stephen McCreath joined JML, the UK-based global consumer products and TV shopping company, in 2016. He is the former Executive Director of High Street TV Group.

Amanda Justice


Director Communication, ERA Europe / Editor of the ERA Europe News

Amanda is a freelance consultant with over twenty years experience in retail, direct sales and home shopping. As SVP Merchandising Hardgoods at HSE24, she worked with many of the ERA member companies and knows the industry well. Before joining HSE24, Amanda held senior positions in international product management and marketing in the UK and Germany. She holds an Executive M.B.A. from Henley Business School and an M.A. from St. Andrews University.

John Chen


Vice President Marketing, ERA U.S.

John brings more than 8 years of association marketing and communications experience. He is responsible for marketing, communication, and publications efforts for ERA U.S. and also oversees the association’s educational content.

Prior to joining ERA U.S., he served as the managing director for the public media business association. Chen graduated from California State University, Chico with a BS in Instructional Technology and BA in Communication Design.

Sabine Christmann, LL.M., Lawyer


ERA Self Regulation Oficer

Sabine Christmann has over fifteen years of professional experience in international companies in the media- and platform industries. She is a fully qualified lawyer and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

For more than 10 years, Sabine Christmann had been in charge of the “Regulatory & Public Policy” department at pay-TV provider Sky. Since 2015, she provides legal services including consultancy on distribution strategies and regulation.
