Industry News C. & E. Europe: Studio Moderna Polska has acquired Mango-Media Sp. z o.o. from TVN S.A.

Mango-Media is an owner of leading homeshopping channel in Poland ‘’Telezakupy Mango’’ with an associated e-commerce site www.mango.pl and the Mango brand.

Studio Moderna Polska sp. z o.o., a member of Studio Moderna Group, leading omnichannel, multi-brand and direct-to-consumer electronic retailer in Central & Eastern Europe,has acquired ‘’Mango-Media’’ Sp. z o.o. on 31st July 2017 from TVN S.A. (part of SNI group).

Mango-Media is an owner of leading homeshopping channel in Poland ‘’Telezakupy Mango’’ with associated e-commerce site www.mango.pl and the Mango brand. Mango-Media was founded in 1989 as a direct response TV company and through the last years established itself as a leading homeshopping company in Poland. The initial sale agreement was signed on May 15th and has received an anti-competition clearance from UOKIK in Poland.

Studio Moderna believes this acquisition will help to realise its growth ambitions on the Polish market through natural synergies of both companies. Studio Moderna operates in 21 countries of Central and Eastern Europe in truly multi-channel sales methodology with bigger share of revenues coming from traditional retail and e-commerce, supported by strong sales from print (catalogue sales), direct response TV and database marketing. It also operates its own homeshopping channels in Russia, Ukraine and Romania. Majority of sales come from its own brands, such as Dormeo, Delimano, Walkmaxx, Rovus, Wellneo, LiveActive, Gymbit,Top Shop, Napsie and Pink Panda.

In Poland, Studio Moderna plans to be an undisputed leader in its category with ambitious plans to grow and will continue investments into development of homeshopping channel, e-commerce platform and traditional retail presence with planned total of 50 stores until end of 2018. In order to realise the growth, the company will be also investing into new IT infrastructure and its call centres capacity.
