On September 20th 2017, GHS, (Global Home Shopping), China's third largest TV Home Shopping channel based in Bejing, acquired 51% of the stakes in Citruss TV, Dubai, U.A.E.

In the Sofitel Palm Resort, Dubai, all involved parties celebrated the joint venture with a very festive and impressive signing ceremony.

In his very interesting and more than impressive speech, Jason Kong explained the strategic interest in Citruss TV to further develop GHS: Citruss TV is a central hub which will enable GHS to reach more than 300 million consumers in the Middle East and Africa.

Furthermore GHS considers this deal to be part of the Chinese government's "One Belt and One Route" initiative: a development strategy to improve China's trade and economy.

Citruss TV will face new competition next summer when HSE24 & MBC launch their TV shopping channel.
