Dr. Julian Oberndörfer


CEO, ERA Europe

Dr. Julian Oberndörfer was appointed CEO, ERA Europe in 2013 and runs his own law firm near Munich.

Previously, Julian worked for the German live shopping channel Home Shopping Europe (HSE24) where he held several management positions including Head of Country Management for Austria and Switzerland and VP Media Law, Media Politics and Distribution (MMD). He also worked as a lawyer and for the Deutsche Bank. Additionally, he has held several leading positions in associations and is author of media law literature.

Maja Umek


Maja Umek, International Sales Director at Studio Moderna

Maja Umek is Slovenian and joined Studio Moderna straight from university in 1996 with a BA in Marketing. She worked her way up, gaining experience in the call center, as Product Manager, Director of the International team, Head Buyer and has recently changed position to lead Studio Moderna’s International Sales of their proprietary brands and products.

Maja has excellent industry knowledge and her expertise in working in multicultural environments is allowing her to successfully manage projects and business relationships throughout the world. Maja is the newly elected Chairwoman of ERA Europe and will hold the position until 2019.

Andrew Malcher


Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of High Street TV, UK

Andrew Malcher is a successful entrepreneur who has founded and successfully sold a number of DRTV, retail and broadcast businesses. These include the American Shopping Network, The Golf Channel UK and JJB Sports TV. Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in the DRTV industry, leading him to his current role as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of High Street TV - a Global Multi Channel retailer innovating, sourcing and selling leading lifestyle brands. 

The Group owns five 24 hour shopping channels in the UK,  operates across over 80 international territories and was recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies in the Sunday Times Fast track awards.

Ken Daly


Ken Daly is CEO of JML, the innovative consumer product group with global sales through retail distribution, ecommerce and TV home shopping.

Ken joined an embryonic JML in 1994, initially in a sales role, following a background in electronic engineering. Ken then held a variety of positions helping to lead the company’s expansion, becoming CEO in 2012. JML now employs nearly 250 people in the UK & Ireland and has distribution partners in over 70 international markets.

Gudrun Liska


Head of Marketing, MediaShop, Austria

Gudrun Liska has a profound and strong background in various marketing disciplines. She accompanied the market entry of Red Bull in the US with Opinion Leader & Entertainment Marketing activities, led the Marketing, PR and Social Media department of internationally operating lingerie company PALMERS and worked as Head of Marketing for Austrian-based retailer BIPA, a chain of more than 600 retail stores that sell cosmetics, healthcare items and household products.

In 2017 she joined the team of MediaShop as Head of Marketing and brings in her long-standing experience to further develop the brand’s marketing and communication activities.

Amanda Justice


Director Communication, ERA Europe / Editor of the ERA Europe News

Amanda has over twenty years experience in retail, direct sales and home shopping and ten years consulting. As SVP Merchandising Hardgoods at HSE24 (2009 - 2014), she worked with many of the ERA member companies and knows the industry well. Before joining HSE24 in 2003, Amanda worked as a consultant and held senior positions in international product management at Avon Cosmetics, based in the UK and Germany. She holds an Executive M.B.A. from Henley Business School and an M.A. from St. Andrews University.

Sabine Christmann, LL.M., Lawyer


ERA Self Regulation Oficer

Sabine Christmann has over fifteen years of professional experience in international companies in the media- and platform industries. She is a fully qualified lawyer and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

For more than 10 years, Sabine Christmann had been in charge of the “Regulatory & Public Policy” department at pay-TV provider Sky. Since 2015, she provides legal services including consultancy on distribution strategies and regulation.

Megan Quinn


ERA U.S. Content Manager

As the content manager for the Electronic Retailing Association U.S., Megan Quinn is the resident wordsmith. She manages the Association’s blog, newsletter, social media profiles, and assists with all other marketing initiatives. Coming from a public relations agency background, she has experience navigating the evolving world of trade associations and national nonprofit organisations.
