Industry News MENA: CitrussTV article, 'Pioneering TV Shopping in MENA', in BroadcastPro

Overview: Despite the entry of rival brands such as, in 2018, CitrussTV experienced ca. 40% YOY growth vs. 2017 (for the 5 Gulf states of KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait.) According to the article 80% of sales come from Saudi Arabia.

The 2017 investment by China's Shark Shopping who acquired 51%, saw CitrussTV invest in an integrated production studio and headquarters. Apparently Chinese expertise is already making its mark and buyers benefit from access to exclusive products from Shark's inventory.
