A startup company has a 'blind date' with QVC NEXT experts in the interestingly named 'Love Mobile'

QVC NEXT: the new QVC Startup Platform

On 20th September 2017, QVC officially launched their new start up programme QVC NEXT within the Hamburg event Startups@Reeperbahn Pitches. QVC NEXT is a new venture which positions QVC as an attractive partner for start up companies. In Hamburg, 10 preselected young entrepreneurs could present their product ideas to QVC decisionmakers in the ‚QVC Love Mobile’ and receive expert feedback and advice. QVC has already successfully tested working with startups in the cooperation with the investor Ralf Dummel from the TV Start up company show 'Die Höhle der Löwen’ (translation: The Lion's Den). QVC extended the TV presence of the startups and gave them the opportunity to present themselves and their innovative products in live shows. An impressive example of success is reported to have been the liquid display protection product  ProtectPax, which according to a QVC press release sold over 70,000 pieces on QVC channels in the first days following the show on VOX.

The QVC NEXT is reported to offer product startup companies a multi-channel platform consisting of TV, website, Apps and Socal Networks which gives Germany-wide visibility to the entrepreneurs and their products. The experienced QVC NEXT team offer young entrepreneurs support with their product conception, presentation and sales monitoring, with the goal of achieving long-term success.

QVC Fashion Event in Düsseldorf, Germany: Big Promi-Party, Vertical Catwalk and red carpet on the Kö

It was reported that QVC Germany, the official partner of the „VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out" for the second year running, celebrated a spectacular fashion event in the Hotel InterContinental, Düsseldorf. There was a TV studio in the hotel bar, a beauty lounge in the foyer and lots of star guests on the red carpet.

The opening fashion show on a vertical catwalk in which 8 professional artists presented highlights from the new collections of QVC Designer Jette Joop, Uta Raasch und Thomas Rath while walking down the 20 meter high walls of the lobby of the luxury Hotel InterContinental Düsseldorf.

The highlight of the event was a vertical catwalk from the 9th floor to the ground, followed by four hours of live shows from the QVC TV studio in the „bar fifty nine‘‘, in which a 12 meter long catwalk had been integrated. Amongst other guests, Barbara Becker, presented her current Lounge and Fitness wear „Miami Fit‘‘. During the live shows, models presented the designs from the shows on a 15m long open air catwalk.

A further feature of the event was provided by Boris Entrup who styled fashionistas in the QVC Beauty Lounge.
